Social Life Skills

The TEN Academy believes strongly in providing individuals with autism the education and support they need to succeed academically. However, teaching and developing individuals' social and life skills is also essential to support their independence in the world around them.

Social skills

The significance of building and developing social skills can impact the life of the individual with autism positively. Developing social skills can lead to knowing how to form positive relationships, communicate effectively and interact successfully with others. Developing these skills will allow the individual to understand themselves and others more.

Life skills

Life skills can range from time management to adapting to situations happening in real-time. Learning about life skills can increase an individual's awareness of the world and, when put into practice, can help support their independence.
